Meet the Adworkz Team!
Adworkz Inc. CEO Alec (Chris) has headed the company since its inception. Alec has a background in lead generation and lead management. Alec also enjoys working in the fields of search engine optimization, conversion optimization, and affiliate marketing. This summer Alec and his wife welcomed their first child, Brody, to their family. Alec stays active year-round with hobbies including ice hockey, snowboarding, skiing, wakeboarding, and golfing. Before becoming Adworkz CEO, Alec also played semi-pro football.Andrea Parish
Andrea is a member of the Content Production Team, otherwise known as a writer. After she completed her degree in Visual Communications, she exercised her marketing and web development skills before she landed at Adworkz. She also has experience being a caterer and personal chef. Her various hobbies — which include knitting, photography and gardening — are too many to name. Suffice it to say she is a renaissance woman. She received international notoriety for her Wedding Cans project, in which she and her finance raised money to pay for their wedding by recycling aluminum cans. She has two cats who live in the house she owns with her husband.Andrew Metcalf
Andrew is the Chief Marketing Officer at Adworkz, with a background in automotive marketing, project management and business intelligence he is a welcome addition to the growing success of the Adworkz team. He has a proven track record of success in the internet marketing realm. Outside of work, Andrew enjoys watching and playing sports including basketball and football. Side note: If you think you can out jump Andrew, think again. He’s got a vertical that would make most college basketball players envious.
Bill Jones
Bill is the lead programmer and systems administrator at Adworkz. He joined the company in 2008 with more than 15 years of technical experience in marketing and market research. Developing in PHP, mySQL and other internet platforms, he enjoys the challenges of building web applications for a wide internet audience. Outside of the office, Bill collects Apple products, dreams of driving expensive German cars and spends time with his wife, two teenage children and his two Labrador Retrievers.
Brian Hughes
Bryan is the Lead SEO Specialist for Adworkz, Inc. New to the company as of December 2011, Bryan began studying SEO in 2009 while still working full time for Microsoft, where he worked for 12 years as a Software Test Engineer\Software Design Engineer in Test. Prior to his career at Microsoft, Bryan studied History at Western Washington University, owned a cleaning company for several years, and taught himself basic computer skills by becoming addicted to PC role playing games. A great fan of the Internet and a firm believer that the Internet is just in the beginning stages of leading a transformational and peaceful global revolution in business, culture, politics and society, Bryan launched several of his own websites while studying SEO, learning how to achieve long term page 1 rankings using white hat methodologies in the process. He is extraordinarily passionate about Internet Business Development and Search Engine Marketing, and is thoroughly enjoying the opportunity to exercise his new career skills in the successful agency environment of Adworkz. When not working, Bryan enjoys spending time with his wife and four children, fishing, hiking, traveling, and playing his guitar.
Emily Conwell

Emily is relatively new to the Adworkz team but already an integral part. She is the first one you see when you walk through the front door and the voice you hear on the phone. In addition to receptionist duties, Emily creates and edits content for the many Adworkz sites. Emily is in her last semester pursuing a degree in psychology with plans to attend law school, while continuing to work at Adworkz. Emily has a plethora of past work experiences, including managing a Telemarketing company at only 17 years of age and managing Customer Service at Walmart. In addition to work and school, Emily is a very busy mom raising 4 children, ages 4, 5, 6 and 7. Her newest hobby is ducking when the tennis balls are thrown around the office.
Erica Issac
Erica is the internal accountant for Adworkz, Inc. She joined the Adworkz team in September 2009. She moved to the Spokane area in 2006 from Portland, Ore., where she was raised. Her love for accounting was realized by accident when she was offered a temporary position at a small distribution company in Beaverton, Ore. After her experience there, she pursued her interest in the profession by earning a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a bachelor’s in Business Management: Finance from George Fox University in 2004. When she is not at work she stays busy as a wife and mother of three children, ages 17, 12 and 10. She and her husband enjoy wine-tasting , hiking, boating, camping, game nights with the kids and coffee shop lounging.
Evan Ernst
Evan is the COO of Adworkz and has been with the company since 2008 as its first Affiliate Manager. He has a background in website and UI design, conversion optimization, and affiliate marketing. He studied business management at Washington State University before moving to Spokane. When he’s not in the office or at an industry conference, Evan stays active by playing basketball, snowboarding and traveling. If you drop by his office on a Friday, you’re likely to hear hip hop music and an explanation that “Hip Hop Friday” helps him stay focused and productive. Franrose Smith
Franrose is the resident fashionista at Adworkz. Always dressed to the nines, she also known for her great attitude and excellent work ethic. When she’s not quietly performing an endless number of tasks at work, she’s spending time with her young daughter and her husband. She comes from a large family, with one brother and seven sisters in all. She grew up on the Island of Saipan, which is near Guam. She has a sassy side, too, and it usually comes out when she’s having her drink of choice, Crown Royale and Coke.
Jason Coffman
Jason began his journey with Adworkz as a consultant when it was still in its planning stages. He helped the company build and release its first Lead Distribution software as well as line up its first business partnerships. Soon after the system was put in place, Jason was hired on as full time employee. He continued to be just a little off and a little loud, but easily motivated by promises of Philly steaks with cold Jack and Cokes at the end of the week. Jason currently has a degree in psychology and is nearly done with his second degree in Aviation Management, neither of which directly lend to current responsibilities as the Director of Program & Systems Development. Married and step father of two, Jason enjoys the simple things in life such as coaching his children, snowboarding, flying planes, golfing and catching tennis balls that are being thrown around the office.
Jene Green

Jene is the SEO Content Syndication Specialist and social media guru for Adworkz. She has an extensive background in sales, customer service, and website marketing. When she is not working on ways to bring down the infamous SKYNET, she spends time with her amazing son Johnny by exploring parks and zoos all over the Bay Area. She also enjoys classic car shows, skateboarding, wakeboarding, and dj-ing phat techno beats.
Jimmy Gleason

Once upon a time there was a guy named Jimmy. Jimmy was a mild-mannered guy that enjoyed writing code, and in fact he enjoyed it so much that it became a big part of his work load. Then, Adworkz gracefully invited him to join their team where it’s been nothing less than a dream. When Jimmy isn’t writing incredible, rhyming biographies of himself, he’s camping, mountain biking, working on his house, or indulging in the occasionally often libation. The end.
Lisa Plumb

Lisa has been part of the Adworkz team since 2008. She has a degree in software Ddevelopment and works as a programmer. Prior to joining Adworkz, Lisa’s work experience includes developing websites for individual companies as well as more than 20 years of experience in the legal industry, including experience as an Intellectual Property Administrative Assistant, Patent and Trademark Assistant and as a Limited Practice Officer in Washington State. She says her greatest accomplishments have been her 32-year marriage and eight children.
Matt Hedman
Matt Hedman has worked at Adworkz since January of 2009. In his position as account executive, Matt spends most of his time working with publishers in the Adworkz network and managing the accounts of lead generation business partners in the financial and retail services industry. Matt has a bachelor’s degree in political science from Gonzaga University in Spokane. He enjoys a range of hobbies, including political discourse (stunner), photography, working out, sports, cooking and many other forms of merriment. Matt is also particularly fond of referring to himself in the third person in his employee bio and hopes that his accompanying photograph will pass muster with the viewing public.
Nick Ernst
Nick joined the Adworkz team as Publisher Manager. He attended Washington State University where he studied business management and hospitality business management. He has a background in website development and design, but his real passion is working with people. When not in the office, Nick stays active by playing many sports. He also has an obsession with classic cars, and can usually be found in his garage turning wrenches on his own classic impala, which he bought when he was 16. Paulo Dichone
Paulo is the youngest of 13 children, born and raised in Mozambique, and came to the US when he was 16 as an exchange student. He attended Whitworth University and graduated with a BS degree in Computer Science. Paulo loves programming :Java – android mobile development, .NET Framework, and currently, he finds himself working with PHP (WordPress plugin development). Aside from the “geekyness”, Paulo is a musician: he plays the guitar, Mandolin and sings. Paulo also loves to salsa dance and west coast swing!
Ron Ford
Ron Ford is a writer for Adworkz, creating content for several websites on subjects ranging from killer plants to vehicle tire wear. He is also an actor, film maker, screenwriter, cat lover and journalist. He has won screenwriting awards and written and directed over a dozen movies. As an actor, he has played many roles in major and minor movies, as well as in dozens of professional and amateur stage productions. He hails from the Seattle area but spent many years in Los Angeles. He now resides in Eastern Washington.
Sam Hoober
Sam is a member of the Content Production Team. Currently completing a bachelor’s degree in history at Eastern Washington University, he occasionally disdains the subject American History because it’s “too subjective.” He began his pursuit in that academic field after he realized “education wasn’t the field for me” and that “music programs don’t give credit for fast, heavy riffs.” He has a wide range of interests, such as sports (his favorite is Rugby, in which he still occasionally participates), music (he’s an avid guitarist) and outdoor activities. He is a voracious reader, especially of non-fiction. He lives in Cheney, Wash., completely by choice and relishes the peace and quiet small town life affords.
Shadra Beesley
Shadra is Managing Editor of the Content Production Team, which means she spends about half the work day editing syntax and punctuation and the other half filling out spreadsheets. She graduated from the University of Oregon with a degree in journalism. To this day she remains an enthusiastic fan of the Ducks football team. When she’s not working or watching football, she is probably hanging out with her dog, Casey, the prettiest pitbull in the world, preferably at a barbecue. On Fridays you can probably find her at the local cheese shop. She loves really spicy food and good wine, especially when there are friends involved. Her alter-ego is The Apostrophist, a bad-punctuation fighting superhero.
Steve Tarlow

Steve is a dedicated father of two who has worked on the Adworkz Content Production Team for more than two years. Steve is a big sports fan, especially when it comes to baseball. He brings a creative flair to his writing that’s all his own. He prefers jazz music and enjoys sharing his distinctive sense of humor, which he himself describes as dry and bizarre. His broad range of interests — which include standup comedy, philosophy, psychology, sociology, archaeology, evolution and biology among others — show through in his writing. He has worked as a writer for a sports merchandise firm and in marketing and promotions for a newspaper. However, his favorite job was working for his hometown baseball team, The San Diego Padres, during its last World Series year.
